People who want a private, local-first AI workspace on a Mac and would rather verify the privacy claims than trust them. Clovy bundles chat, push-to-talk voice dictation, bot-free meeting notes, and a local agent in one MIT-licensed app; recordings, transcripts, files, and agent memory stay on the device by default, while model inference is routed off-device through a TEE-attested, zero-retention service whose production image is cryptographically verifiable. It is free to start, and a bring-your-own Venice API key runs the whole stack without an Open Software account (inference still calls the Venice provider, not on-device models).
You are not on a Mac: Clovy targets macOS 14+ (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows builds cover the app shell, sign-in, recording, notes, and the agent, but not global dictation paste, system-audio capture, or the macOS sandbox, and there is no Linux build. You also want a fully offline tool with no vendor account: the hosted cloud models and higher usage tiers need an Open Software (OS Accounts) login, though a bring-your-own Venice API key runs the core locally.
Clovy is brand new and was rebranded from 'June' in 2026: development happens in the open with near-daily releases, and its technical identities migrate through a compatibility bridge (ADR-0055), so older 'June' docs, tags, and blog posts can be stale. Expect rapid change, a thin third-party track record, and rough edges. It is also Mac-first: macOS is the primary target, Windows support is partial, and there is no Linux build.

As of 2026-08-12 we found no third-party usage reviews or endorsements (checked Hacker News, Reddit, and the open web). The catalog requires at least two evidence entries, so the items below are first-party engineering artifacts from the project's own public GitHub tracker, not community endorsement: one directional signal about the free tier and one problem report about a known billing-retry gap. Treat them as transparency about an early project, not as social proof.
