Teams wanting a clean MIT-licensed core for internal databases or app-building without vendor lock-in. Airtable import works via a public share link with no API token required. Simple Docker deployment and GDPR-compliant EU hosting are available.
You need SSO, SAML, or audit logs: those are enterprise-only features under a proprietary license. Also not suitable if you rely on Airtable formula fields, lookups, rollups, or automations, since none of those migrate.
The Airtable import requires making your Airtable base publicly accessible via a share link before importing. For organizations with sensitive data, this is a security consideration during migration. Automations are not migrated and must be rebuilt from scratch. Row comments, field descriptions, and revision history are also not imported. The star count (5,503) reflects recent GitHub migration from GitLab; the project is mature.
